Ryan and Phillip's Conversation Rules

We look at current events and trends and take a broad view of what those things mean to the Kingdom. We will attempt to answer the question: “Why should Christians care about this?” The answer to this question cuts both ways. Either it is a subject that Christians care too much about and shouldn’t, or don’t care enough about and should.

In a stunning turn of events, President Trump relitigates the controversial NFL protests of last year. In this, the question of when to protest has arisen with people choosing their sides and doing so vehemently. Ryan and guest host Jeremy Coleman discuss the events of the weekend, the implications, and the church's responsibility.

On this week's RPCR Ryan and Phillip take on the liberals who seem to have forgotten that free speech is a core tenet of their ideology. With protests against statements everywhere from Berkeley to Catholic Universities, why are we suddenly so afraid of hearing people with whom we disagree? Ryan and Phillip go in-depth on this issue and demonstrate that dissenting voices are valuable in both the public square and the theological realm.

In HHIEOY Phill takes on Oklahoma's new fees on child support and Ryan praises Steve Gaines for his stand against a Confederate statue in Memphis.

On segment four it's back to school, and the guys talk about how we can support teachers in the coming school year.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Breaking News. According to multiple reports, President Trump has reached an agreement with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer to extend legislatively the protections afforded by DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals). In exchange for his support, reportedly, President Trump has asked for greater border security that does not include funding for a wall on the southern border. At posting, the White House has disputed the report that the wall has not be included in the deal and has not fully confirmed DACA protections.

Alan Cross joins Phillip to discuss this breaking news and the path forward.

Those moments of unity are fleeting and pass as the tragedy or event fades from memory and into history. As Jesus people, we are called to unify under the gospel. How can we as Jesus people move the unity from fleeting moments to a sustainable movement?

HHIEOY: Diane Feinstein's comments during a confirmation hearing show that when it comes to questions about religious liberty, some of our Democrat friends can't help but fall into the bear trap.

Segment 4: Ryan and Phillip breakdown the Oklahoma vs. Ohio St. game.

Sep 4, 2017

Ryan and Phillip talk about the escalating relationship between the United States and North Korea.  They discuss some of the history, the leadership of the country, and the current state of affairs.

Ultimately, Ryan and Phillip call for Peacemakers.

HHIEOY: Ryan and Phillip talk about the Joel Osteen controversy.
